Requirements vary depending on the role. Some opportunities, such as Promoters and Prayer Partners, simply ask for a willingness to support Lighthouse’s mission. Other roles, like Haven Home Hosts and Mentors, involve additional steps such as background checks and training. We’re happy to walk you through the requirements for any role and answer questions during your initial conversation with us.

Not necessarily. While many volunteers choose to serve directly alongside the families we support, there are also important ways to help behind the scenes. Support roles include organizing data and documentation, helping plan special events, and promoting Lighthouse’s mission in the community. We’ll work with you to find a role that fits both your interests and your comfort level.
